Finally I get to go to SINGAPORE!!!

Finally, after the whole world has been (lol), it's MY turn! =D

Went direct from Manila, so went straight home with Amal and Alan.. After days of talking, Amal and I.. Talked all night again! Hahahaha.. You can't shut us up I tell you! ;p Stayed for.. Wow.. I dont know 3 or 4 days I think.. Cant even remember properly now. Haha.. See? This is why you should blog straight away, while all the details are fresh! ...

Anyway, they made sure I saw as many sites as possible.. The 1st day Amal took me to the Singapore Art Theatre, where a Malay festival was going on.. Just the fresh new things a Malaysian wants to see when she gets to a new place! Lol..
Told ya I'm artsy! ;p

Then we walked on down to the Esplanade.. It's amazing, the view, and the events they have on in Singapore.. Guess I'm just starting to discover this whole new world.. =) They had a recycling art campaign thing going on, it was beautiful! Some people are so creative.. *sigh* I also tried the famous Singapore Ais Potong! (Which is totaly different from what Malaysians call Ais Potong.. Haha..) It was good! A bit messy, a bit too much ice cream for me in one go, but raspberry ripple is GOOD!! ;p
The Singapore view...
Ais Potong!
The casino! (Wonder how they got a ship on top of it.. Hmm..)
Ngaww.. Cute pet!
Mini Merlion!
I felt so naughty! ;p

The recycling art exhibition was great, they had things like this:

They're plastic bears which are lit up with LED lights at night, and they had different things every few metres. Here are a few:

These were on the water...

This was NOT as comfortable as it looks! ;p
But my favourite one was this one:

This is the artist, Khor. The photo above is what the blue thing is made of - windmills made from plastic bottles! =D Neat huh? Then the main structure was lit by LED bulbs.. He was also holding a 'class' on how to make these and other things out of recyclables.. He spent some time telling us what it was for, and it turns out he does it to help autistic charities.. This was one of the autistic guys at the booth, Sean. He's amazing with numbers! Apparently he knows every single bus number in Singapore! =O I can barely remember which bus number goes to my house, omg.. Lol..
Khor even had a banner detailing what they do.. Here it is, with Sean sitting behind.. =)

I think its amazing, the creative things thes artists can do in the name of charity and sustaining our planet.. I applaud their effort, skill and hearts. The world needs more people like you. =)

Well. That's a long post, phew! I guess I'd better leave the rest of my Singapore trip for another entry! =) Stay tuned everyone, more photos coming your way! =D
