Life is but a dream...

5 February 2013

Be careful of the yeah-but. The yeah-but will kill your dreams.

So it's the first day of February, and I have already broken my New Years' resolutions of updating my blog (and vlog) more frequently. To be fair, I have been a bit busy with a sudden project, but I still feel like I could've been a bit more productive, even if they were short posts.. =(

Anyway. Some friends shared an article on facebook a few days ago. I'm not sure what to categorise it as. A travel article? But there's more to it than that. Life lesson? Hmm..Take a look HERE.

I love this article. Because it's true.

Life is, and should be, an adventure. What is the point of life if you're not living it? What is the point of toiling at something you dont like, to get more things you dont like?

And for my New Year's resolution, travelling more is definitely top of the list, and one thing I want to remind myself of in 2014 when I will (I'm sure) look back on this post?

In the past few years I have travelled. I have travelled to (not in order):
Kuala Lumpur - View of Petronas KLCC Twin Tower 1 from the window of Tower 2's 86th floor.
Singapore - National icons the Merlion and Fullerton Hotel.
Ipoh - In front of one of the many temples that they're known for.
Phuket - Diving at the famed Phi Phi Islands!
Malacca - The night comes alive on Jonker Street! (I dont seem to have ever blogged about Malacca before.. Need to change that.. ;p)

Phnom Penh - Next to a miniature Angkor Wat in the Royal Palace
Shen Zhen - "Smelly Tofu", a must try!
Jakarta - Cathedral at night (Also need to blog about Jakarta.. Oops..)
Hong Kong - Avenue of Stars!
as well as local sites in Sabah itself.

Not one of these trips do I regret. In fact, they're some of the best memories I have, and I cant wait to make more. The highlighted names of the places in the photo captions are links to previous posts about those places if you're interested to read more.. =)

This year I already have Taipei and Bangkok on my travel plans. I cant wait to make more plans and travel to at least one more country before the year ends. Yes, it will take quite a lot of money, but hey - how can you put a price tag on experience? No 'buts' about it.

Be careful of the yeah-but. The yeah-but will kill your dreams.

So what are your travel plans this year? Let me know! The only thing more enjoyable than travelling, is sharing your travel experiences with others! =)
